How can therapy help me?

Through psychotherapy you can learn to better your mood, attitude and ways of thinking, change bad habits and develop good ones, recognize and change codependent relationship patterns, improve self-esteem, work on intimacy/sexual issues, practice emotion regulation, relaxation and self-care.

When to seek counseling for couples?

Couples come to counseling when their relationship feels emotionally unsafe, they are overwhelmed by relationship conflict and poor communication, feeling alone and betrayed, when there have been affairs, trust issues, lack of intimacy, just to name a few. Sometimes couples counseling can be helpful to enhance the relationship rather than fix a specific problem. I often see couples come in to marriage therapy when they are in crisis or headed for divorce but it doesn't have to be that way. Crisis can be avoided altogether if partners have to courage to recognize problems and promptly address them.

How does couples counseling work?

Through couples counseling you can improve your communication, identify sources of conflict, rebuild intimacy, safety and couples dialogue, let go of past hurt, negotiate individual and parenting roles, regain trust and emotional safety and gain hope for the future.

How much does it cost?

50-60 min session (individual or couples): $120.
